Meet Dr. Steiner
Dr. Ceara Steiner’s calm, reassuring demeanor puts patients and doctors at ease. Dr. Steiner specializes in the evaluation and management of cornea, cataract, and glaucoma surgery patients. She currently serves Vance Thompson Vision in Billings, Montana, by caring for patients and educating them on surgical options.
A North Dakota native, Dr. Steiner attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, for her undergraduate degree and gained early acceptance to and began attending optometry school before graduation. She completed her bachelor’s and doctorate degrees at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. Before joining Vance Thompson Vision, she specialized in eye surgery management for 8 years after receiving advanced clinical training in the field and publishing several articles while on rotation. Currently, Dr. Steiner is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Montana Optometric Association, and the Optometric Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Society.
Outside of work, alongside her husband, Joe, Dr. Steiner stays busy chasing after their three children: Rhettick, Malone, and Nori. While most of her hobbies have taken a backseat to raising her kids, she enjoys volunteering for the Special Olympics, playing the occasional round of golf, staying active, and attending a wide variety of sporting events.
