From the moment, I walked through the doors at my consultation to the moment that I walked out of the doors after my procedure, I was treated with the highest level of respect and kindness. The kindness, professionalism, and knowledge shared with me, completely eased every little fear that I had. Dr. Steiner and Dr. Swan both were so patient and answered every single question that I had. I would highly recommend anyone who is considering needing LASIK, to go and visit these guys! My only regret in the whole experience was not getting it done 10 years earlier! Thank you to everyone at Vance Thompson for changing my life.

From Shelly at the front desk to nurse Tracey RN Erica in surgery the anesthesia who I can’t remember at this time Dr. Steiner and Dr. Swann made this southern girl feel so comfortable I would recommend this vision center over and over it was a complete blessing and I never felt like just a patient I felt something more invested in.

Dr. Russell Swan at Vance Thompson Vision gave me back my eyesight. I have worn glasses/contacts since age 11 and have experienced worsening vision over the last several years. Dr. Swan performed SK on each eye in April, followed by cataract surgery this week. I can see well without glasses! Dr. Swan is kind, thorough, and very skilled. Dr. Steiner was very professional and helpful at my pre-op and post-op visits. I was very nervous about scheduling cataract surgery for my mother, who suffers from dementia. However, I was also worried that my mother would lose her sight and with it what little independence she still had. I was finally able to talk at length to Dr. Morledge-Hampton, who reassured me that they had worked with dementia patients before, and that they would be able to take care of my mother. Then the pandemic occurred. I postponed the surgery because I couldn’t travel. When there seemed to be a safer window of opportunity, the staff at Vance Thompson worked with me to find a time to reschedule. The amount of empathy, caring, compassion, and dignity shown by everyone at Vance Thompson to my mother before, during, and after her surgeries went far above and beyond what I was expecting. The level of attention paid to keeping the environment safe in the midst of the pandemic was exemplary, and I felt very safe. More importantly, I felt that my mother was also very safe. Dr. Swan and Dr. Steiner and the entire team at Vance Thompson have my eternal gratitude. Thank you. Highly recommended.
