Financing Options
If you’re like most people, you’ve probably wondered how to pay for your surgery. That's why Vance Thompson Vision offers the following easy payment options to make your laser or implant vision correction experience as smooth and affordable as possible. Ask about your options during the financial counseling portion of your consultation.
Credit Options
Because elective procedures such as LASIK are not covered by insurance, Vance Thompson Vision works with two companies to offer credit options to help manage costs for elective procedures. Patients are responsible for learning the terms and conditions of their financing agreement. These credit options can also apply to out-of-pocket copays or deductibles associated with your procedure.
Flex Spending Plans and Health Savings Accounts
FSAs and HSAs can be used to cover the costs of vision correction. Talk to your employer about setting aside money for you to put toward the costs of your surgery. It is a good idea to find out if you are a candidate for laser vision correction before earmarking your HSA/FSA for surgery.
Health Insurance
In some cases, your vision surgery is medically necessary and covered under your health insurance. In those instances, you’ll want to check with your insurance provider to understand your policy, verify that your procedure is covered, and prepare for any out-of-pocket responsibilities such as copays or deductibles.
