Dr. Michael Greenwood has been described by his patients as kind-hearted, understanding, and passionate. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, glaucoma, cornea, and laser vision correction surgery. After completing his fellowship with Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, SD, Dr. Greenwood established Vance Thompson Vision’s West Fargo, ND, location.
As a fellowship-trained cornea, glaucoma, and refractive surgeon, Dr. Greenwood performs the most advanced techniques in refractive cataract surgery, laser vision correction (LASIK), cornea transplants, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He is a leader in the eye care industry, lecturing nationally and internationally and teaching other surgeons and doctors advanced surgery techniques. He believes that every patient deserves to see life with clarity. Dr. Greenwood is honored to put his exemplary skill set to use to make that happen.
Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Heidi, and their daughters, Quincy and Jude. Together, they enjoy playing outside, going for runs, reading, and listening to music.
Dr. Greenwood has been involved in numerous FDA-monitored clinical trials on some of the most exciting technologies in ophthalmology and has been published in a number of peer reviewed journals. His published work focuses primarily on glaucoma, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and refractive cataract surgery.
