Dr. Swan was introduced to our team in 2016 when he completed a fellowship in advanced anterior segment surgery at Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls. At the conclusion of his fellowship, he accepted leadership of our team in Bozeman and went on to lead a second in Billings, MT.
Dr. Swan is an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Utah Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. He serves on a variety of boards including Central American Eye Clinics, Young Eye Surgeons (YES) Clinical Committee, and ASCRS International Foundation Committee. Additionally, Dr. Swan has participated in multiple global ophthalmology mission trips and is a winner of the 2018 Millennial Eye One to Watch Award.
Dr. Swan partners with the National Residency Training Program at the Hospital San Felipe in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. This program is the only training program of its kind in the county. Dr. Swan leads annual trips to the hospital and partners with local doctors to train residents and restore vision for the people of Honduras.
Dr. Swan enjoys spending time with his wife Monica and their four children. Some of the Swan family’s favorite pastimes are hiking, biking, golfing, skiing, and exploring God’s creation.
