From a young age, Dr. Ferguson knew he wanted to pursue a career in eye care. He grew up observing his father, a local optometrist, express a unique energy and excitement for improving vision. Prior to medical school, Dr. Ferguson began spending time conducting research with Dr. Thompson and Dr. Berdahl, sparking an early interest in clinical research and cementing his desire to become an ophthalmologist.
Dr. Ferguson enjoys walking and playing with his dog, Kramer, whom he has dubbed the “happiest dog in the world.” As a sneaker fanatic, he has amassed a large sneaker collection and enjoys reading or watching content centered around sneaker design. Most of all, he loves spending time spent with his wife, Dr. Kayla Karpuk, an optometrist at Vance Thompson Vision.
